Closing Positions (Arbitrum)

Suppose the following position is open...

Partial Close

For a partial close, treat this as a position adjust, where the amount or collateral is slightly adjusted. See the Adjusting Positions (Arbitrum) walkthrough.

Full Position Close

1. Click the close position button — which sets collateral & amount to 0, allowing a users to fully close their position

2. Confirm the changes to the position. This is a 2 step process, since position size must be decreased before taking out collateral to stay within the bounds of the maintenance requirement.

   1. Step 1 will set the position size to 0. This requires delayed settlement.

   2. Step 2 will withdraw collateral by setting collateral to 0.

   

   Confirm changes

Amount is set to 0. Now, we can withdraw collateral. Click Withdraw.

Notice collateral set to 0. Click Withdraw Collateral.

The collateral is actively being withdrawn. After a short wait, the collateral will return to the user's wallet.
